AJECT Laser guided Remote Controlled Microtunnelling System
The AJECT Microtunnelling Machine (TBM) system is complete with all equipments necessary to drive non man-entry tunnels by the pipe jacking method.

The system is designed for tunnelling, without the use of ground improvement processes such as compressed air, ground treatment or freeezing, in water bearing grounds with a head of up to 20 metres of ground water.

Newly developed TBM for Rock Conditions

Owing to the small size of the launch and reception shafts required by the system and the compact containerised design of the equipment, it is ideal for use in urban areas. Noise insulation is provided.

A target plate is placed within the cutting head for the impinging laser beam to define the exact position of the machine prior to work start. The laser is preset to the desired grade (vertical axis) and alignment (horizontal axis). During the tunnel execution the machine operator "steers" the cutting head to the desired pre-defined horizontal and vertical tolerance. Thus gravity sewers and similar utilities can be installed to stingent criteria without surface disruption.
